  1. Internship means 8 hours of integrated clinical duties in which 2 weeks of evening and night shift duties included.
  2. Internship should be carried out as 8 hours per day @ 48 hours per week.
  3. Students during internship will be supervised by the nursing teachers.
  4. Fourth final examination to be held after completing internship.

Examination

The university examinations are conducted at the end of each year, for 75 marks. The students, to pass, have to score 38 marks out of 75 marks.

Internal Assessment

The internal assessment of the students is based on the academic performance throughout the year. The internal assessment in theory paper is made out of 25. The students, to pass, have to score 13 out of 25 marks. Then only the students will become eligible for appearing for the final examination.

Note :-

  1. Anatomy & Physiology - Question Paper will consist of Section-A-Anatomy of 37 marks and Section-B- Physiology of 38 marks.
  2. Nutrition & Biochemistry - Question Paper will consist of Section-A- Nutrition of 45 marks and Section-B- Biochemistry of 30 marks.
  3. Pharmacology, Genetics & Pathology - Section-A- Pharmacology with 38 marks, Section-B- of Pathology of 25 marks and Section-C of Genetics with 12 marks.
  4. Nursing Research & Statistics - Nursing Research of 50 marks and Statistics of 25marks.
  5. Minimum pass marks shall be 40% for English only.
  6. Minimum pass marks for all other subjects shall be 50% in each of the theory and practical papers separately.
  7. A candidate must have minimum of 80% attendance (irrespective of the kind of absence) in each theory for appearing in the final examination.
  8. A candidate must have 100% attendance in each of the practical areas before appearing for final examination.
  9. A candidate has to pass in theory and practical exams separately in each of the paper.
  10. If a candidate fails in either theory or practical paper he/she has to re-appear in Supplementary Examination for both theory & Practical papers.
  11. A candidate can take any number of attempts with a condition that maximum period allowed to complete the course is 8 years.
  12. A candidate failing in the subjects in any respective year can be promoted to next year.
  13. Before appearing in the final year examination the candidate must pass all previous years of examination.
  14. The maximum period to complete the course successfully should not exceed 8 years.

 

Eligibility criteria for admission :-

The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which the admission is taken.

 Minimum Education :-

  • 10+2 class passed with Science Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) & English Core / English elective with an aggregated of 45% marks from recognized Board under AISSCE / CBSE / ICSE / SSCE / HSCE or other equivalent Board. Students appearing in10+2 examinations in science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45%.
  • A candidate belonging to SC / ST or other backward classes, the marks obtained in PCB taken together in qualifying examination is 40% instead of 45% as stated above.
  • Students shall be medically fit.
