Welcome to Apex College of Nursing

Apex Hospital and Apex Paramedical Institute is located in the heart of the city, Varanasi on the DLW Hydel Road. This istitute was established under the aegis of Apex Welcare Pvt. Ltd. (Registered under Varanasi Corporation Act, U.P. Government and Companies Act , Government of India). This institution was a dream-project of a group of young people who took their inspiration from Prof. S.M. Tuli, a renowned Orthopaedic Surgeon and Great Teacher of the country. The institution was set up with a noble mission of providing health care and social services to the society. A spread wide Apex Hospital campus was designed where the institution expanded and took shape of a multi specialty medical and research center of high standard offering excellent ultra- modern diagnostic and therapeutic facilities at an affordable cost. Finally the institute was dedicated to public on 22nd December 1996 as Multi speciality Research and Referral Hospital in Varanasi.

Over a span of 20 years the hospital got affiliated to many government and non-government corporate sectors as well as with many national and USA aided NGOs.

Acknowledging the acute shortage of nursing personnel in the health care sectors, Apex Hospital and Apex Paramedical Institute initialized to train nurses and prepare well-qualified nursing personnel. After getting due approval from the U.P. Government, the Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi & the U.P. State Medical Faculty, Lucknow in 2008, Apex School of Nursing started offering Diploma Course - General Nursing and Midwifery with an intake of 30 students per year. Acknowledging the high standards of the School's academic infrastructure, the INC, New Delhi allowed the Apex School of Nursing to enhance its yearly intake of students from 30 to 60. Auxiliary Nurse & Midwife (ANM) course has also been introduced.

However, the need for preparing graduate and post graduate nurses was felt, who, it was thought, after completion of their course would make a quality impact in grooming efficient and competent nursing community of global standards, through their quality teaching and training process. Apex College of Nursing came into existence in 2009. After obtaining approval from the U. P. Government, the INC, New Delhi and the U. P. State Medical Faculty, the institution started B. Sc. Nursing course of 4 years duration with an intake of 50 students per year. Apex College of Nursing was previously affiliated with the Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj Medical University (CSMMU), Lucknow erstwhile King George Medical University. Considering the betterment of students of locality, now the college is affiliated with prestigious Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi. Since 2021 Apex College of Nursing is affiliated with Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow. This is the first Private college in eastern U.P. offering degree course in nursing. Both the Apex School of Nursing and the Apex College of Nursing are making commendable progresses, broadening its academic wing. The Apex College of Nursing has started Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing course of 2 years duration which is another milestone. This will cater to the educational needs of the thousands of diploma holder nurses in and outside the state who would be able to pursue higher studies and upgrade their educational and professional status and standards.
